Connelly Early started for the Red Sox. He did struggle out of the gate in the first inning. Control was not on his side for the night, however after the 1st inning, Connelly didn’t allow another hit the rest of his outing. Tyron Guerrero pitched the 7th inning featuring 2 strikeouts, with Garrett Whitlock and Danny Couloume tossing 1-2-3 8th and 9th innings respectfully.
Wilyer Abreu hit his 9th homer of the season on the offensive side along with contributions from Caleb Durbin and Marcelo Mayer with RBI hits in the contest.
